This role offers a unique blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, based in Abeokuta, Ogun, NG .

Responsibilities: Conduct original research in areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.

Develop, implement, and evaluate novel machine learning models and algorithms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing products and services.

Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research through literature review and conference participation.

Publish research findings in leading academic journals and present at international conferences.

Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the team.

Design and execute experiments to validate research hypotheses.

Contribute to the development of intellectual property and patents.

Ensure research aligns with business objectives and potential market applications.

Participate in the definition of the long-term AI research roadmap.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of research experience in machine learning or a related AI domain. Proven track record of publications in top-tier AI conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL).

Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and proficiency with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.

Strong understanding of statistical modeling, algorithms, and data structures. Experience with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, hybrid team.

Experience in leading research projects from conception to completion is desirable.

This hybrid role requires regular engagement with the team at our Abeokuta, Ogun, NG facility for collaborative research, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews, while also offering the flexibility of remote work.
