Our client, a pioneering technology firm at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence, is seeking a brilliant and innovative AI/ML Research Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to join their dynamic team in Maiduguri, Borno, NG .

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining focused research time with collaborative on-site engagement.

You will be instrumental in pushing the boundariesof AI by developing novel algorithms and models for image and video analysis, object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition.

Your work will contribute to groundbreaking projects in areas such as autonomous systems, medical imaging, and intelligent surveillance.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong theoretical foundation in machine learning, deep expertise in computer vision techniques, and practical experience implementing and evaluating large-scale AI models.

You will work with massive datasets, cutting-edge hardware, and collaborate with a world-class team of researchers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct cutting-edge research in computer vision and machine learning, focusing on developing new algorithms and models.

Design, implement, and train deep learning models for tasks such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, and pose estimation.

Develop and evaluate novel approaches for image and video understanding.

Process and analyze large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy AI models into production systems.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, ML, and computer vision through literature review and conference participation.

Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals.

Present research results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Contribute to intellectual property generation and patent applications.

Work with cross-functional teams to define research objectives and project roadmaps.

Mentor junior researchers and interns.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field with a specialization in Computer Vision. Proven track record of research excellence, demonstrated by publications in leading AI/ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV). Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Expertise in computer vision techniques, including image processing, feature extraction, and generative models.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.

Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
