Our client, a pioneering technology company at the forefront of artificial intelligence innovation, is seeking an accomplished Senior AI Research Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to join their advanced research division.

This role, located in Sokoto, Sokoto, NG , operates on a hybrid model, fostering collaboration while allowing for remote flexibility.

The successful candidate will drivecutting-edge research in visual understanding, object detection, image segmentation, and related areas, contributing to transformative AI products and solutions. You will be instrumental in developing next-generation computer vision technologies and publishing significant findings.

Responsibilities: Conduct state-of-the-art research in computer vision, including image recognition, object detection, tracking, segmentation, 3D vision, and generative models.

Develop, implement, and evaluate novel algorithms and deep learning architectures for visual tasks.

Design and manage experiments, analyze results, and draw insights from large-scale image and video datasets.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision research and emerging trends.

Publish research results in top-tier academic venues and contribute to the scientific community.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to transfer research prototypes into practical applications and products.

Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the team's technical leadership.

Explore new research areas and propose innovative projects within the domain of computer vision.

Ensure the ethical implications of computer vision technologies are considered in research and development.

Present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Contribute to patent applications and intellectual property development. Engage with academic institutions and industry partners on collaborative research efforts.

Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with a focus on Computer Vision.

Minimum of 5 years of research experience in computer vision post-PhD completion.

A strong publication record in leading computer vision conferences and journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI).

In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and their application to computer vision tasks.

Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and proficiency with ML/CV libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, Keras).

Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed training frameworks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively.

Ability to work independently and lead research initiatives.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deep learning hardware accelerators is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to translate research ideas into tangible results.
