Retail Office Manager / Software Engineering Instructor (AI Startup) Location: Toronto, Markham, Canada Pay: $15 – $25 per hour (based on experience) About Us Code495.com is a fast-growing AI startup and kids coding school based in NYC.

We teach coding, AI, and software engineering to K-12 students through Zoom and in-person labs.

Our mission is to make coding fun, social, and accessible whilebuilding the next generation of AI leaders. We’re looking for motivated team members who can manage our retail office presence in Flushing and also help instruct students in beginner to intermediate coding (JavaScript, Python, AI concepts).

Responsibilities

Retail Office Manager: • Greet parents and students, handle check-ins, and answer inquiries • Manage scheduling, class sign-ups, and student progress records • Oversee office supplies, equipment, and safe classroom environment • Coordinate with teachers and management on operations Software Engineering Instructor (Part-Time): • Teach small groups (2–6 students) coding and AI fundamentals • Assist students with JavaScript, Python, and AI project homework • Create an engaging, supportive, and fun learning environment • Adapt lessons for different age groups and skill levels Qualifications • Passion for education, coding, and working with kids/teens • Basic knowledge of software engineering (Python, JavaScript, AI tools) • Strong communication skills in English (Mandarin/Cantonese a plus) • Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment • Previous teaching/tutoring or office management experience preferred but not required Schedule & Pay • Part-time, flexible hours (weeknights & weekends) • $15 – $25/hour depending on role, experience, and performance • Growth opportunities within our expanding AI education network Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour Ability to Commute: Work Location: In person Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week Work Location: In person
