The role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and coordinate the governance and delivery of digital projects across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

This pivotal role will oversee the intake and triage of new project requests, ensure adherence to governance frameworks, and support the delivery of the NHS GGC Digital Delivery Plan.

You will work closely with governance groups, programme boards, and delivery teams to ensure projects are initiated, managed, and closed in line with best practice and strategic priorities.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Location based in Smithhills Street

• Permanent Contract

• Full-time Position (37 hours per week)

• Shift Pattern for this post are Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Key responsibilities:

• To support delivery of the Digital Programmes. For example: facilitating and coordinating the systematic review of interdependencies between programmes; collating and analysing data; drafting reports; and the development and implementation of action plans that support service improvement.

• To develop and maintain a robust content management system for Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and protocols, ensuring timely review, revision and distribution.

• To provide regular training for staff across the Directorate on the maintenance of web pages/SharePoint sites to enable the Directorate and groups to content manage relevant sections. This will include regular and ad hoc training in uploading documents, content and systems management etc.

• To project manage the work of defined work streams, taking account of policies and procedures, and ensuring successful completion of projects within agreed timescales.

• To effectively manage project resources including, for example, day to day coordination staff allocated to specific projects, equipment and budget. Post holder will be an authorised signatory for travel and other staff/patient expenses incurred during the course of any project.

• To provide full administrative support and coordinate an agreed programme of work, including the preparation of agendas in consultation with the Chair’s, overseeing the collation and distribution of papers, taking accurate minutes of meetings and ensure timely follow up of any outstanding actions.

• To actively participate in project group meetings, providing advice on related issues.

• To work collaboratively with other groups and administrators to ensure maximum use is made of resources that are available and that duplication of effort is avoided. The post holder will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a stock control system for information materials.

• To support groups in the production of clear, concise and timely reports, drafting reports, collating, interpreting, and analysing data as required.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Essential:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent or demonstratable experience

• Experience in managing a variety of projects

• Committee and minute taking experience

• IT skills, proficient in all Microsoft packages

• Flexible and innovative approach

• Intuitive and proven team player

• Ability to motivate others

Desirable:

• Understanding of Clinical Governance issues and relevant legislation

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours.

Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis.

A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
