Management Trainee — AI × E-Commerce (We’ll Teach You Everything)

Awesomeree AI

Malaysia

Full-time

Let's skip the part where we pretend this is a normal trainee job.

You know those management trainee programmes where you rotate through six departments, attend 47 onboarding sessions, and your biggest achievement in month one is getting your staff badge?

Yeah.

This isn't that.

Awesomeree AI is Malaysia's leading AI startup and e-commerce powerhouse.

We source products from factories in around the world, sell them on e-com powerhouses, and ship them into tens of thousands of Malaysian homes.

We run all of it with AI tools most companies won't discover for another 3-5 years.

We're not exaggerating.

Our interns have cried tears of joy (and confusion, but mostly joy).

We're hiring Management Trainees who want to run a real business from Day 1 — not shadow someone for six months while "learning the culture".

Remember Tony Stark?

He wasn't special on his own.

He was special because of the suit. We're giving you the suit.

"But I don't know anything about e-commerce."

Good.

Neither did we, once.

You don't need a business degree.

You don't need to have run a store.

You don't need to know what ROAS, GMV or MSU mean — by month two you'll be arguing about them at lunch.

What you do need: the kind of brain that can't leave a bad number alone.

If you've ever compared five Shopee listings before buying a RM19 phone holder, congratulations, you already think like us.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Own real products — not a slide deck about products.

You'll help decide what we sell next, what it costs, and what it's priced at

  • Do the maths that decides everything: cost, shipping, platform commission, ads, margin.

Learn exactly why RM39.90 prints money and RM35.90 quietly bleeds it

  • Build listings that beat the seven identical ones above us — titles, images, variants, the whole fight for the click
  • Run ad budgets on Shopee and TikTok Shop.

Kill the losers fast, pour fuel on the winners, defend your decisions with numbers

  • Watch competitors like a hawk — their prices, their launches, their reviews — and tell us what to do about it
  • Keep stock sane: what to reorder, how much, and when, so we don't run out of the thing everyone suddenly wants
  • Use AI to do all of the above at a speed that will genuinely surprise you (and quietly terrify your friends at other companies)

No rotation.

No "exposure". You stay in one focused role, go deep, and own the outcome — including the weeks the numbers are ugly.

You're Probably Right For This If

  • (REALLY IMPORTANT) You have a track record of being annoyingly good at things — maybe an SPM slip in your drawer with a suspicious number of As, a CGPA your mum still brings up at family gatherings, or a side hustle that accidentally got real customers.

We're pattern-matching for people who can't help but go all in

  • You're the friend who actually organises the trip — not the one who talks about it in the group chat for six months
  • Numbers don't scare you.

You don't need to love maths, but "I'll just estimate lah" should make you uncomfortable

  • You have an allergic reaction to "almost done" — you ship things, then you ship the next thing
  • You've been told you're "too intense" by people whose greatest achievement was updating a shared Google Sheet.

You took it as a compliment

  • You get uncomfortable when nothing is happening — a slow Tuesday makes you suspicious
  • You pick up new apps and tools like it's a hobby
  • Any degree, any background.

We care about curiosity and attitude, not credentials

We don't hire people who "do their best". We hire people whose Tuesday is most people's career highlight.

This Role Is NOT For You If

  • You want a slow, structured corporate programme with a fixed two-year rotation
  • You'd rather present a strategy than be responsible for the sales number at the end of the week
  • You need to be told exactly what to do at every step
  • The phrase "learn something new every week" makes you tired instead of excited
  • You think AI tools are cheating (we won't be able to help you here)

What You Get (Besides Bragging Rights)

  • RM4,000 – RM6,000 per month, based on what you can actually do — not on years served
  • Training on AI tools that cost more than some people's car payments — free, and the skills are yours for life
  • A commercial skill set most people don't get until they're 35: sourcing, pricing, margins, paid ads, inventory, negotiation
  • Real responsibility from Week 1 — no "shadow someone for six months" nonsense
  • Career growth that doesn't require 10 years of paying dues — our best people end up owning entire categories
  • The ability to tell people at CNY/Raya/Deepavali dinner: "I work at an AI company" — and watch their faces

Fair Warning

We've launched a product in the time it takes some companies to book a meeting room.

If that sounds stressful, we're not your company.

If that sounds like the most fun you could possibly have at work — welcome home.

After working here, normal offices will feel like using a typewriter.

We've ruined several people's ability to tolerate slow companies.

Apply at your own risk.
