Qualifications

• You’re a technical founder at heart — someone who’s excited by zero-to-one challenges, fast iteration, and building category-defining products with real-world impact
• Experience building and shipping production-level AI/LLM/NLP tools
• Strong skills across backend and full-stack systems (Python, Node, Next.js, Postgres, vector DBs like Pinecone)
• Excited by or experienced in agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, or AI infra
• Familiar with healthcare, education tech, or research tools

Responsibilities

• As our CTO / Co-Founder, you’ll partner directly with the CEO/founder to lead the development of our AI-first healthcare platform
• You’ll have end-to-end ownership over technical strategy, architecture, and product development
• Build the foundation:
• Architect and develop core systems — from our LLM workflows (RAG, agents, multimodal) to frontend/backend infrastructure
• Lead product execution:
• Rapidly iterate, ship prototypes, and drive technical excellence in collaboration with product and design
• Help hire and mentor our early engineering team
• Lay groundwork for scale, performance, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC2 readiness)
• Be involved in fundraising, YC, GTM strategy, and investor conversations

BRIO is building the intelligence layer for the people of medicine. We’re creating an AI-powered workspace for medical and veterinary students, researchers, and professionals — combining smart search, research comparison, case generation, study planning, structurednotes, and more. Our long-term vision is the Healthcare AI Operating System.

• We’re currently at an exciting inflection point — product V1 is built, and we're actively in talks with multiple U.S. universities for pilot partnerships. We're assembling our founding team to help shape what comes next.

As our CTO / Co-Founder, you’ll partner directly with the CEO/founder to lead the development of our AI-first healthcare platform. You’ll have end-to-end ownership over technical strategy, architecture, and product development.

• Build the foundation:

Architect and develop core systems — from our LLM workflows (RAG, agents, multimodal) to frontend/backend infrastructure.

• Lead product execution:

Rapidly iterate, ship prototypes, and drive technical excellence in collaboration with product and design.

• Scale and hire:

Help hire and mentor our early engineering team.

• Prepare for growth:

Lay groundwork for scale, performance, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC2 readiness).

• Drive technical vision:

Own our AI roadmap alongside BRIO Sense — our internal microservice suite for healthcare intelligence.

• Contribute to the journey:

Be involved in fundraising, YC, GTM strategy, and investor conversations.

Who You Are
