• We are seeking a skilled Principal Machine Learning Engineer for Applied AI with over 5 years of experience developing and scaling commercial machine learning systems, particularly in document understanding and data extraction

• You are an experienced builder who excels in integrating real-world functionalities with AI/ML engineering, utilizing your expertise to provide meaningful value to end-users

• Core Experience

• 4+ years in machine learning / AI engineering with proven end-to-end ownership of ML-driven products

• Demonstrated success in developing systems that deliver direct user value rather than research prototypes or internal tools

• Experience managing large, complex datasets and optimizing for accuracy, scalability, and reliability

• Proficient in building, measuring, and iterating on ML systems and ML-driven consumer or enterprise products

• Proficiency in Python and popular ML libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, spaCy, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras), as well as familiarity with cloud providers like GCP/AWS, container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and web application development (e.g., Flask, Django)

• Experience deploying or integrating LLMs, LLM APIs, Agents, and prompt engineering in production environments

• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with ML infrastructure and data workflows

• Background in document understanding, OCR, or applied NLP

• Exposure to financial or tax-related data environments

• Prior experience in a startup or early-stage product environment
