Senior AI Automation Developer

About the Role

ConvoFlow is a Dubai-based AI agency with over five years of operations.

We build voice agents, WhatsApp chatbots, and CRM automations for 30+ clients across the UAE and UK on monthly retainers.

We are hiring a Senior Automation Developer to join our team full-time, in-office in Dubai.

This is a hands-on technical role — you will design, build, and maintain production automation systems across multiple clients simultaneously.

The most important technical requirement is deep expertise in n8n.

Self-hosted, production-grade, multi-tenant.

Everything else on the stack matters, but n8n is the foundation this role is built on.

If you haven't run n8n in a real production environment, this role isn't the right fit right now.

What You'll Be Working On

• Designing and building production n8n workflows — multi-tenant architecture, error handling, queue management, webhook orchestration, self-hosted deployment

• Building and operating voice AI agent systems — outbound calling, inbound handling, agent configuration, end-of-call classification and CRM routing (VAPI, Retell, Bland, or equivalent)

• Integrating automation systems with CRMs at API level — GoHighLevel, Salesforce, HubSpot — custom fields, pipeline automation, multi-location isolation

• Building WhatsApp Business API automation — AI chatbots, lead qualification flows, deduplication

• Designing and managing production databases — Supabase / PostgreSQL, schema design, RPC functions, row-level security

• Implementing LLM classification pipelines — call transcript analysis, structured JSON output, validation and fallback logic

• Building monitoring and alerting systems — stuck lead detection, silent failure recovery, cross-client watchdogs

• Setting technical standards across the team — documentation, naming conventions, pre-QA checklists

What We Need

n8n — this is the non-negotiable.

Deep, production-grade experience.

Self-hosted deployment.

Complex multi-tenant workflow architecture.

Error handling, queue patterns, webhook idempotency, SDK-level customisation.

You can build any flow without docs and you know every failure mode.

Voice AI — one platform in depth.

VAPI, Retell AI, Bland AI, Twilio Media Streams, or equivalent.

End-to-end experience: outbound triggers, assistant configuration, tool call design, end-of-call webhook handling, LLM outcome classification.

CRM integration — API level, not surface level.

GoHighLevel: custom fields, pipelines, PIT authentication, sub-account isolation.

Salesforce: API writes, validation rules, Setup Audit Trail, Connected App OAuth.

HubSpot or Pipedrive also valued.

Database — production depth.

Supabase / PostgreSQL or equivalent.

Schema design, RPC functions, row-level security, migrations.

LLM integration.

OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or equivalent.

Structured outputs, classification chains, fallback logic at scale.

Good to Have

• WhatsApp Business API

• Google Calendar / Outlook calendar integration

• Meta Ads API / CAPI

• GCP Cloud Run, Railway, or Cloudflare Pages

• RAG pipeline design

• Node.js and/or Python

The Role Requires

• 4+ years building production automation and AI systems for real clients

• Agency or multi-client environment background preferred

• Based in Dubai or able to relocate within 30 days

• Full-time, in-office — this is not negotiable

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: AED 10,000–25,000 / month based on demonstrated ability
