The

Global South AI Initiative (GSAII)

is an emerging think tank dedicated to shaping AI policy, governance, and innovation in the Global South.

We are currently seeking driven, forward-thinking individuals to join our inaugural cohort as

AI Fellows

.

What is... the GSAII AI Fellowship?

This fellowship is a unique, project-based program designed to empower the next generation of researchers and policy thinkers.

Under the guidance of a dedicated Engagement Manager, our AI Fellows will collaborate to research, draft, and publish a flagship thought leadership paper addressing critical AI policy challenges in developing economies.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct High-Impact Research:

Dive deep into the intersection of AI adoption, socioeconomic policy, and governance in the Global South.

• Collaborate & Draft:

Work closely with a cohort of peers and your Engagement Manager to structure, write, and refine a comprehensive thought leadership publication.

• Drive the Narrative:

Help build frameworks and policy recommendations that address the unique challenges and opportunities of AI in emerging markets.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Current university students (undergraduate or graduate) or recent graduates.

• Individuals with a strong interest in AI policy, economics, tech governance, or social impact.

• Excellent researchers and writers who can synthesize complex data into structured, compelling narratives.

• Self-starters who thrive in a collaborative, remote environment.

Please note: GSAII is in its early growth stages, and this is currently a remote, volunteer-based fellowship with no financial compensation.
