Position OverviewTalabat is seeking a Data Scientist to join its algorithms team in Dubai.

The role focuses on improving decision-making across products and business operations by designing and implementing machine learning and generative AI systems.

You will own the data lifecycle in a defined domain, collaborate with product and business leaders, and contribute to advancing the platform throughdata-driven innovation. Job DetailsLocation: UAELocation: DubaiIndustry: Information Technology (IT)Function: Data ScienceGender: AnyCandidate Nationality: AnyJob Type: Full-time Core Duties * Solve business problems by designing and deploying machine learning and AI models.* Implement production-ready generative AI systems to support data enrichment and automation.* Own the full data value chain including logging, modeling, analysis, reporting, and experimentation.* Collaborate with product and business teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.* Deliver insights and recommendations through analysis, automated reporting, and KPI design.* Design and analyze experiments (A/B and multivariate testing).* Develop data models to measure and interpret performance drivers.* Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to internal training and knowledge-sharing.* Support continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and data practices. Ideal Profile * Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (postgraduate degree preferred).* 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and generative AI.* Hands-on expertise with ML/AI frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.* Strong SQL and Python or R for reproducible analysis.* Experience with NLP, LLMs, and smart automation is an advantage.* Familiarity with data modeling, pipeline development, and tools such as Airflow, BigQuery, and Google Cloud.* Strong understanding of statistical methods, experiment design, and product data analysis.* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.* Growth mindset with ownership and accountability.
