Qualifications
• The perfect candidate will possess a blend of hands-on AI engineering experience and consulting acumen, allowing for clear communication with both executives and technical teams
• You should have a rich background in designing AI solutions that seamlessly integrate with enterprise systems, along with a pragmatic approach to navigating trade-offs in accuracy, cost, latency, reliability, and risk
• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
• For Manager level applicants: Minimum of five years of hands-on development experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
• For Director level applicants: At least two years of experience leading teams of AI/ML architects and developers
• Proven expertise in developing and delivering production AI/ML solutions within an enterprise context
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), distributed systems, and modern data platforms
• Experience with MLOps practices covering model lifecycle, monitoring, governance, and deployment automation
• Familiarity with integrating privacy and access controls along with responsible AI practices
• Ability to guide senior client stakeholders through complex decisions
• Proficiency in fostering long-term relationships with clients
• Experience leading AI/ML delivery programs and a strong command of various AI patterns
• Experience in proposal solutions, estimates, and technical documentation
• Ability to mentor junior or senior colleagues in AI/ML architecture
• Caliber to consult on build vs. buy decisions for AI/ML use cases
• Ability to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Consulting industry experience or a background in internal consulting is beneficial
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and is not eligible for employer sponsorship
• This position requires in-person attendance at least two days a week, either in a Grant Thornton office or a client site
• Willingness to travel up to 60% as required by client needs

• As an AI/ML Solution Architect, you will be responsible for transforming business goals into comprehensive AI architectures, encompassing ML/AI, application integration, data management, and governance
• You will define target-state designs, reference models, and implementation roadmaps while making informed technology choices across cloud platforms and modern tech stacks
• You will collaborate closely with security, risk, and delivery leaders to ensure that our solutions are operational, compliant, and measurable
• Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor teams and develop repeatable assets and accelerators, contributing to our strategic investment in AI capabilities and advisory services
• Leading discovery workshops to articulate business objectives, constraints, and measurable success criteria for AI/ML initiatives
• Translating requirements into end-to-end target-state architectures that cover data, ML/AI, application integration, security, and governance
• Defining and communicating pragmatic trade-offs regarding accuracy, latency, cost, reliability, privacy, and risk to both executive and engineering audiences
• Designing the data and model lifecycle, including pipelines, training, serving, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining, alongside establishing MLOps foundations
• Creating integration patterns with enterprise systems to ensure our solutions are operable and supportable in production
• Partnering with teams focused on security, privacy, and risk to embed essential controls into solution designs
• Producing vital delivery artifacts such as architecture diagrams, reference patterns, implementation roadmaps, and runbooks while leading architecture reviews
