The Analytics Product Owner is responsible for enhancing and supporting data science environments and Model Risk Governance processes, to improve HSBC’s fraud detection capability. The role will have an entity reporting line into Strategic Fraud Analytics. The Strategic Fraud Analytics team sits within the UK Fraud Team and plays a major role in combating fraud, with a focus on putting data science capabilities at the centre of HSBC’s fraud strategies. The team develop counter-fraud solutions and messaging across different business areas and are involved in the identification, formulation and implementation of analytical processes to protect HSBC and its customers against financial crime.

In this role you will:

• Understand and optimise the use of the Feedzai analytics platform on behalf of the Fraud Strategic Analytics team. Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and go-to resource for internal teams.

• Act as the analytics lead for management of platform enhancements resulting from change initiatives. Coordinate system resources and work with technical teams to drive improvements.

• Manage the product backlog for platform features, enhancements and technical improvements, ensuring alignment with business goals

• Work closely with engineering teams to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and ensure technical feasibility

• Monitor the performance of the platform, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience with product management principles and technical concepts (architecture, cloud platforms). Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and extracting insights is also a requirement.

• Knowledge of data science workflows and experience of working with analytics platforms.

• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data integration

• Experience in model governance, data governance or risk management.

• Proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Confluence) and a proven track record of managing backlogs and delivery timelines

This is a hybrid working role with the based location as either Birmingham or Sheffield.
