About Our Team

Qira is Lenovo’s cross-device Personal AI built to provide consistent and helpful AI experiences across phones, PCs, and other devices.

The Qira engineering team builds and tests the systems behind these experiences, from device software to cloud services and AI interactions.

We are hiring for multiple AI Quality Engineer roles at various levels with experience testing mobile, device, or cloud systems.

These roles focus on writing tests, maintaining automation, validating features, and identifying issues early.

You will work closely with developers, product teams, and senior QEs to ensure strong test coverage and quality across Qira.

Location:Chicago, IL is highly preferred, hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

What You Will Do

• Write and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests

• Test Qira features across device, mobile, and cloud environments

• Help maintain and expand automated test suites

• Validate AI workflows, cross-device features, and user scenarios

• Reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution

• Analyze logs, crashes, and behaviors to support engineering teams

• Provide quality status during testing cycles and release checkpoints

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering or Software Testing

• Experience testing AI-driven features or task workflows

• Experience writing structured test cases and performing manual and automated tests

• Automation experience (Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar)

• Experience testing Android, Windows, or cross-device applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud systems, logs, and debugging tools

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Familiarity with automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

• Exposure to performance or reliability testing

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $120K - $200K.
