Responsibilities
- The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is the servant leader and chief Scrum Master for the Lenovo AI Ecosystem Agile Release Train (ART)
- This role facilitates the delivery of complex, cross-domain AI initiatives — ensuring synchronization predictable delivery, collaboration at scale, and relentless improvement as Lenovo continues to evolve its AI ecosystem strategy
- Travel : Monthly travel is required
- What You'll Do Program Execution & SAFe Facilitation
- Lead and facilitate all major SAFe ceremonies for the AI Ecosystem ART, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops
- Ensure alignment across AI product teams Edge AI, AI PC, Cloud AI Services, AI Management Platform)
- Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Business Owners to define and achieve Program Increment (PI) objectives
- Track and communicate program progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders
- Leadership & Coaching
- Serve as a Lean-Agile coach for teams and leaders across the AI Ecosystem program
- Mentor Scrum Masters and Product Owners to strengthen Agile maturity
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Drive consistency and flow across AI development pipelines, from data to deployment
- Metrics & Delivery Transparency
- Establish and report on ART metrics such as predictability, velocity, and business value delivery
- Use flow metrics to identify and address bottlenecks across AI solution streams
- Provide actionable insights to improve team alignment, quality, and delivery cadence
- Stakeholder Alignment
- Collaborate closely with AI leadership, Lenovo Research, Global Marketing, and Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) teams
- Facilitate alignment across product, data science, and go-to-market streams
- Communicate effectively with global stakeholders — including external AI partners and ecosystem collaborators

About Our Team
The Lenovo AI Ecosystem Group is a newly formed organization targeted at transforming Lenovo’s AI product offerings into a world class AI ecosystem environment that delivers a unique and leading AI experience for our customers.
To orchestrate this global effort, we’re seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to drive cross-functional delivery and alignment across multiple Agile teams developing Lenovo’s AI platforms, services, and partner integrations.
The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is the servant leader and chief Scrum Master for the Lenovo AI Ecosystem Agile Release Train (ART).

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or Business.
• 10+ years of experience in Agile program or project management.
• 2+ years as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent Agile leadership role.
• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional AI or software delivery initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agilist (SA).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Coach certification.
• Familiarity with AI / ML delivery pipelines and MLOps frameworks is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SAFe, Agile, Lean, and DevOps principles.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and servant leadership skills.
• Ability to manage complex dependencies and influence across global teams.
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $180K - $210K.
