Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, operations research, applied math, statistics, physics, or related technical field, graduating Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
• Proactive and collaborative attitude with an owner mentality, thriving in fast-paced environments
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excited to learn and grow within a rapidly growing startup
• Available to work in the New York City office at least 3-4 days per week during summer
• Nice to have: completed coursework or projects related to Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI
• Technical or Hiring Manager interview

OnePay seeks an AI Research Intern to develop agentic AI prototypes enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency in a fast-growing fintech backed by Walmart.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching agentic AI use cases for customer-facing product features

• Designing, building, and productionizing cutting-edge AI models

• Collaborating closely with product, engineering,and applied science teams across business units

• Driving significant impact on customer experience and company business outcomes

• Reporting to the Head of AI/ML
