About The Role

The primary purpose of the Director of Data, AI and Privacy Policy is to advance CIPL’s policy priorities and initiatives in the US in relation to a wide range of AI, privacy, and data related law, policy, implementation and compliance topics, including the US law and policy development process. In addition, the Director of Data, AI and Privacy Policy will also work on international AI, data and privacy projects with CIPL’s global team of privacy experts based in London and Brussels.

• Hands on drafting and overseeing of CIPL research and deliverables – white papers, reports, op-eds, and other written deliverables.

• Working closely with CIPL team members to develop strategies, oversee and implement project plans to advance CIPL’s US and global policy agenda on AI, data, and privacy topics. • Helping position CIPL as a policy thought leader by staying abreast of US and global public policy developments in data, AI, privacy and related areas, by anticipating relevant emerging issues and developing CIPL’s policy positions.

We are building an AI security program from the ground up — and this role sits at the foundation of it. As an AI Security Engineer, you will help write the framework, design the workflows, and stand up the systems that determine how this company evaluates and governs every AI tool it adopts and builds.

Your Impact

As an AI Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and scaling Cisco’s AI governance program from the ground up. You will design and implement workflows, frameworks, and automation that ensure every AI tool Cisco adopts or builds meets rigorous security standards. • Fundamental understanding of CI/CD pipelines and practices, including experience contributing to or maintaining automated build, test, and deployment workflows.

• Foundational knowledge of AI systems and engineering concepts, able to explain system workings and apply problem-solving skills to design or improve processes and tools.

## The Opportunity

As part of the Cyber, Privacy, Data & AI Risk team you will provide specialist assistance across cybersecurity, privacy, data, and AI risk. As a Senior Manager you will support the firm’s AI Governance Program development and manage risk while enabling major firm-wide AI transformation initiatives. This position allows for significant engagement with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to drive process enhancements in a rapidly evolving environment.

## Responsibilities

- Provide specialized support in cybersecurity, privacy, data, and AI risk

- Analyze and assess evolving risks in a dynamic environment

- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance risk management

- Develop strategies to mitigate potential cybersecurity threats

- Communicate effectively to promote alignment on risk initiatives

## What You Must Have

- High School Diploma

- At least 6 years of cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, or AI risk management

- Bachelor's Degree preferred

- Demonstrating in-depth abilities as a team leader

- Providing strategic risk management for AI initiatives

- Assisting in governance efforts for AI programs

## Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $91,000 - $321,500. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
