Job description Senior Data Scientist, AI / Insurance / $48-53k P/M

(6-Month Extendable Contract)

We are partnering with a leading insurance business to hire an Interim Senior Data Scientist on a 6-month contract. This role will focus on driving AI-powered personalization initiatives across multiple markets in Asia, helping the business deliver smarter customer engagement, stronger digital experiences, and meas...urable commercial impact.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who can combine strong technical data science capability with business understanding and stakeholder management.

You will work closely with regional and in-market teams to lead the delivery of AI and machine learning use cases, from shaping requirements through to model oversight, validation, and business rollout. The role will also involve working across data, IT, marketing, and MarTech teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.

About the Role

• Lead the delivery of AI/ML solutions focused on personalization, customer targeting, and customer analytics

• Partner with business stakeholders across regional and local markets to define objectives, KPIs, and success measures

• Translate business needs into effective machine learning approaches and support end-to-end delivery

• Work closely with data, technology, and marketing teams on data inputs, feature design, and model outputs

• Oversee model quality, performance, interpretability, and ongoing enhancement opportunities

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage delivery across a fast-paced, multi-market environment

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, customer analytics, or marketing science

• Strong experience in personalization, segmentation, propensity modelling, targeting, or marketing automation

• Good understanding of digital marketing, customer analytics, and MarTech/CDP ecosystems

• Familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Braze, or similar tools

• Experience reviewing model performance, feature engineering, and working within broader data and MLOps environments

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical audiences

• Proven experience delivering projects across regional or complex matrix organisations

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant quantitative discipline

• English and Cantonese are essential; Mandarin proficiency is good to have
