Our client is a top tier international investment management firm.

The Head of Software Development is seeking a business-facing AI Consultant to identify and deliver AI-enabled improvements across investment and operational workflows.

This role focuses on understanding user needs, documenting current and target processes, defining requirements and success metrics, and guiding stakeholders on how to use approved AI tools effectively. You will also translate prioritized use cases into delivery-ready specifications and work with engineering and platform teams to turn prototypes or AI outputs into secure, controlled, production solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Engage investment and operational stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflow challenges, and control requirements.

• Run workshops and produce clear documentation, including problem statements, process maps, user journeys, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.

• Identify and prioritize AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, data sensitivity, and operational risk.

• Define target-state AI-enabled workflows, including human review points, required integrations, control requirements, and testing criteria.

• Translate prioritized use cases into build-ready specifications for engineering, data, and platform teams.

• Coordinate delivery from concept to pilot to rollout, including milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, stakeholder communication, UAT, documentation, and training.

• Support AI tool adoption by coaching users on effective prompting, validation, output review, and safe usage practices.

• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security to ensure governance requirements are embedded into solution design.

• Track impact such as time saved, cycle-time reduction, improved consistency, error reduction, and adoption outcomes.

Qualifications

• Around 6+ years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting, solution delivery, or AI/data transformation.

• Strong ability to engage senior business users, facilitate workshops, understand workflows, and translate business needs into clear requirements.

• Practical understanding of AI/LLMs and adoption considerations, including prompting, output validation, model limitations, data leakage risk, prompt injection, human oversight, and governance.

• Experience working with technology, data, engineering, or platform teams to deliver workflow, automation, data, or AI-enabled solutions.

• Strong documentation skills, including process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and success metrics.

• Experience in financial services is preferred; exposure to asset management, private markets, investment research, portfolio monitoring, or investment operations would be highly advantageous.
