Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to join a high-impact AI team focused on building and deploying LLM-powered automation solutions across the Energy & Commodities sector.

This is a build-first role where you will work directly with business users across trading, operations, and support functions to identify opportunities, design AI solutions, and take them from prototype to production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in AI/software engineering combined with experience or strong domain exposure in Oil & Gas, Energy, Commodities, or Trading.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM-based applications and agentic AI workflows that solve real business problems.
• Develop AI Skills, MCPs, prompts, and tool-enabled AI solutions using modern frontier models.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate solutions using Python, APIs, LLMs, and modern AI frameworks.
• Prototype, test, evaluate, and continuously improve AI solutions for production use.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through deployment and document solutions clearly.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in AI Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI.
• Experience with tool calling, function calling, MCP, RAG, or multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with Git and Docker.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with non-technical business users.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Strongly Preferred – Industry Background

The client is particularly interested in candidates coming from:

• Quantitative Finance / Derivatives

Candidates with an understanding of energy markets, commodities, global energy flows, trading operations, or commercial processes will be highly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience building MCP servers/clients, RAG pipelines, or multi-agent systems.
• Experience with LLM evaluations and model benchmarking.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to quantitative finance, derivatives, or commodity markets.
• Experience building and shipping AI products into production.

Key Profile: We are looking for someone who is not just an AI/LLM developer, but a hands-on AI builder who understands-or has genuine interest in-the Energy & Commodities business domain.

You will have significant ownership over your work, direct exposure to business stakeholders and the opportunity to help shape how ML and Generative AI are adopted across the organization.
