AI & Digital Transformation Specialist / Expert
Regal Hotels International
Hong Kong
Make work simpler today. Help shape how we work tomorrow.
Job Summary
At Regal Hotels International, we see AI’s potential in the everyday moments that slow people down—and the possibilities that open up when those barriers disappear.
We are looking for a hands-on builder who enjoys turning a real business challenge into a practical solution that colleagues can use, trust and benefit from.
This is an opportunity to build credibility through delivery, not presentations about transformation.
Your first 12–18 months will focus on solving specific business needs through small-to-medium-sized AI and digital solutions.
As those successes take root, your remit will expand towards enterprise-wide AI transformation, helping shape the capabilities, behaviours and culture that enable lasting change.
If you want to stay close to the technology, see the impact of what you build and grow into a broader transformation role, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify practical opportunities: Work directly with teams across corporate functions and hotel operations to uncover specific pain points, understand existing processes and prioritise opportunities for measurable improvements in efficiency and quality.
- Build and deliver working solutions: Take hands-on ownership from problem definition and prototyping through configuration, integration, testing and deployment. This is a solution delivery role, not a project coordination position.
- Improve content-related work: Implement AI applications that help colleagues create, organise, retrieve and present content, making everyday documents, communications and presentations easier to produce and use.
- Strengthen analysis and intelligence: Develop solutions for data analysis, recurring reporting and market intelligence, helping teams turn fragmented information into timely, actionable insights.
- Simplify workflows and knowledge access: Digitise manual processes, automate repetitive tasks and develop searchable knowledge resources that improve information access, consistency and collaboration.
- Make solutions reliable and sustainable: Select fit-for-purpose tools, connect them with existing systems where appropriate, and establish practical documentation, support arrangements and safeguards for data privacy, security and output quality.
- Drive adoption and demonstrate value: Work alongside users to test and refine solutions, provide practical training and measure outcomes such as time saved, reduced rework, improved accuracy and sustained usage.
- Build towards enterprise-wide transformation: Use the first 12–18 months of delivery to identify scalable practices and develop internal champions, progressively expanding into organisational capability building, ways of working and an AI-enabled culture.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in hands-on AI application delivery, digital solutions development, workflow automation or a closely related field, with evidence of solutions used in real business settings.
- A builder’s skill set: Ability to independently prototype, configure, test and deploy small-to-medium-sized solutions using an appropriate combination of AI platforms, low-code/no-code tools, scripting and APIs.
- Practical generative and agentic AI experience: Experience applying capabilities such as prompt design, document processing, knowledge retrieval and AI-assisted content creation, with sound judgement about their limitations and appropriate use.
- Data and analytical capability: Ability to work with structured and unstructured information, prepare and analyse data, and produce useful reports or dashboards; proficiency in relevant tools such as Excel, SQL, Python or business intelligence platforms.
- Strong business problem-solving: Ability to translate a loosely defined user need into a focused solution, distinguish genuine value from unnecessary complexity and establish clear measures of success.
- End-to-end delivery ownership: Comfortable working independently, troubleshooting issues and balancing speed with reliability, maintainability and responsible handling of business information.
- User-centred communication and adoption skills: Ability to explain technology clearly, work constructively with non-technical colleagues and help users adopt new tools through practical guidance and support.
- Potential to grow into a transformation leader: Curiosity about organisational development, learning and behavioural change, with the ambition to progress from individual solutions to enterprise-wide impact. Experience in hospitality or another service-intensive, multi-site organisation is an advantage.
