About the Opportunity

• Join Outlier as a talented and detail-oriented contributor to help train generative AI voice, image, and video models.
• This freelance position offers remote work with flexible hours, allowing you to choose the schedule that best fits your lifestyle.

Your Contributions Will Include

• Engaging in live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models, and evaluating their naturalness, usefulness, and clarity.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos to assess which one better meets the specific prompts.
• Meticulously inspecting outputs to identify issues such as distorted anatomy, unnatural motion, text errors, and audio mismatches.
• Rating each output based on criteria like adherence, quality, and realism, and providing clear written explanations in English detailing your observations.

Desirable Expertise

• Fluent in English with strong writing skills, capable of natural, everyday conversational speech.
• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Exceptional attention to detail and patience for thorough examination and analysis.
• Ability to think on your feet and articulate natural, conversational responses in realistic situations.
• Experience in writing concise, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Comfortable making informed assessments when presented with two imperfect options.

Requirements

• A computer with a stable internet connection and headphones.
• A quiet environment for participating in projects involving live conversations.
• All ratings and written explanations must be your original work; please refrain from using AI tools for this purpose.
• Initial onboarding includes a brief screening process, which may consist of a spoken English assessment.

Compensation

• Core Project Work: Earn up to USD $18 per hour for primary project tasks.
• Additional Incentives: Contributors can earn an average of 7.5% more through Missions - Outlier's version of surge pricing. Top contributors often see an average additional 11% in earnings.
• Compensation rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project requirements, and more.

Higher rates may be available for advanced degrees, like PhDs.

During initial onboarding or project overtime phases, lower rates may apply. Please review specific payment terms for each project.
