What you will do

• Set the vision and roadmap for AI & Robotics (EY–K12); align curriculum and assessment to American/British standards and local rules.

• Build a sequenced pathway: Scratch → Python → microcontrollers → computer vision/ML basics.

• Teach select classes; mentor capstones, maker projects, and clubs.

• Coach teachers; lead PD on robotics platforms, Python, AI literacy, and lab safety.

• Establish and manage labs/makerspaces & equipment.

• Enforce safety with clear SOPs (tools, soldering, batteries, 3D printing).

• Lead competitions (FLL, VEX, FTC, hackathons) and handle calendars/logistics.

• Embed responsible AI across subjects (ethics, privacy, bias, prompt design).

• Oversee department platforms and tooling (LMS links, code repos, device checkout, inventory).

• Track and report KPIs: learning outcomes, competition results, certifications.

What you bring

• 5–8 years teaching CS/Robotics/AI, including 2+ years in HOD/lead/coordinator roles.

• A degree in CS, AI, or Robotics is a must; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Strong Python skills plus one or more: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Micro: bit, LEGO (EV3/Spike), VEX.

• Working knowledge of intro ML/AI (classification, vision, sensors), data handling, and AI ethics.

• Experience with student competitions and/or external exams (IGCSE/AS–A Level CS, AP CS, or equivalents).

• Confident with makerspace tools (3D printers, laser cutters), basic electronics, and lab safety.

• Clear communicator in English and Arabic; collaborative, organized, student-centered.

• Nice-to-have: Python certs, Autodesk/Adobe, LEGO/VEX coach, Google/Microsoft Educator, AI/ML fundamentals.

• Willing to run occasional after-school/weekend events during competition seasons.
