Responsibilities
- In this role, you’ll drive our digital transformation by designing solutions for the Solaris Software Suite (Lens, Optics, and Vision), leading AI initiatives, and shaping technical strategy
- Collaborate with a bilingual (English/Spanish) development team, mentor junior engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, compliant solutions
- Design scalable, secure solutions, including software architecture and endpoint definitions, for the Solaris Software Suite (Lens, Optics, and Vision) to be implemented by the development team
- Serve as technical lead for AI initiatives, driving the integration of AI/ML solutions (e.g., predictive maintenance, document processing) to enhance Solaris’s platforms
- Define and maintain technical strategy, ensuring new platform additions align with Solaris’s existing architecture and digital transformation goals
- Administer critical platforms, including Bitbucket, AWS, and Snowflake data warehouse
- Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit activities, ensuring compliance for financial and operational reporting
- Lead proofs-of-concept (POCs) for small, one-off projects outside the Solaris Software Suite to explore innovative solutions
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices to elevate team performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, and a bilingual (Spanish) development team

In this role, you’ll drive our digital transformation by designing solutions for the Solaris Software Suite (Lens, Optics, and Vision), leading AI initiatives, and shaping technical strategy. • Expertise in AWS services (e.g., Kafka, Kubernetes, NoSQL, RDS, Elasticsearch, Timestream, Lambda Functions, S3 storage), preferred.
• Proficiency in Java with Apache Camel, React Native, Snowflake data warehouse administration, and additional programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
• Experience with SOX compliance and audit activities for financial reporting and controls.
• Proven ability to lead AI/ML initiatives in production, ideally for energy sector applications.
• Strong skills in designing software architectures, defining endpoints, leading POCs, and platform administration (e.g., Bitbucket, AWS, Snowflake).
• Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) for development team collaboration is preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) is preferred.
