Project Director (AI / Machine Learning) | Singapore, SG

Established Financial Institution is seeking a highly experienced Project Director – AI to lead large-scale Artificial Intelligence initiatives across their banking business. This role is critical in shaping our enterprise AI roadmap, driving responsible innovation, and delivering high-impact transformation programs that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, risk management, and reg...ulatory compliance.

You will oversee multi-year AI program, manage cross-functional delivery teams, and work closely with senior executives to execute our AI strategy in a safe, ethical, and scalable way.

Roles :

•

• Lead the end-to-end AI programme portfolio across Retail, Business, and Institutional Banking.

• Build and maintain a multi-year AI transformation roadmap.

• Own delivery of major AI projects including generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, fraud detection, risk scoring, and customer service applications.

• Establish robust governance frameworks, delivery methodologies, and risk controls.

• Partner with Senior Stakeholders Business Unit leaders to articulate value, manage risk, and secure sponsorship.

• Communicate programme updates through clear dashboards, investment papers, and board-level reporting.

• Manage cross-functional teams: data scientists, engineers, analysts, change managers, and PMs.

• Oversee internal teams and external vendors, consulting partners, and technology providers.

• Drive capability uplift and promote a strong culture of innovation and delivery excellence.

Requirements :

•

• 10+ years in programme or project leadership roles, including large-scale transformation in financial services.

• Proven track record delivering AI, data, analytics, or new emerging technologies at enterprise scale.

• Strong understanding of banking processes, digital platforms, and regulatory environments

• Demonstrated experience managing budgets >$10M and multi-year programmes.

• Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Expertise in delivery frameworks (Agile, Scaled Agile SAFe, PRINCE2, MSP, PMBOK).
