About the role

Techforce Group Limited is seeking a Junior Business Development – Data & AI Technology professional to join our growing team.

This is a full-time position based in the Central and Western District.

In this role, you will support the identification, evaluation, and development of business opportunities within the Data and AI technology sector.

You will work closely with senior business development professionals and technical teams to understand market needs, assess potential partnerships, and contribute to the growth strategy of the organisation.

This position offers an excellent foundation for a career in technology business development, combining analytical rigour with commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities in the Data and AI technology landscape
• Support the preparation of business cases, proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners
• Assist in qualifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including feasibility assessments and risk analysis
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand product capabilities and translate these into business benefits for potential customers
• Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, clients and partners through effective communication and follow-up
• Participate in industry events, conferences and networking activities to build market awareness and identify new prospects
• Support the preparation of financial models, ROI analyses and other business development documentation
• Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and progress towards targets
• Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies for new Data and AI technology solutions

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex technical information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated interest in or understanding of Data and AI technologies and their business applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Preferred experience: Previous internship or entry-level role in business development, sales, consulting, or a technology-related function
• Preferred experience: Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, or cloud technology platforms
