Our client, a pioneering force in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead AI Ethicist to shape the responsible development and deployment of AI systems.

This pivotal role involves establishing and overseeing ethical frameworks, guidelines, and best practices to ensure fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy in all AI initiatives.

You will be at the forefront of navigating the complex ethical landscape of AI, proactively identifying potential risks and biases, and developing mitigation strategies.

This position requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and their societal implications, combined with a strong background in philosophy, ethics, law, or a related social science discipline.

You will collaborate closely with research scientists, engineers, product managers, and legal teams to embed ethical considerations into the entire AI lifecycle, from conception and design to implementation and monitoring.

Responsibilities include conducting ethical risk assessments, developing training programs on AI ethics for internal stakeholders, and staying current with evolving regulatory requirements and public discourse around AI.

The ideal candidate will be a thought leader, capable of influencing decision-making at all levels and fostering a culture of ethical awareness and responsibility within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain AI ethics policies and frameworks.

Conduct ethical impact assessments for new AI products and features.

Identify and mitigate biases in AI algorithms and datasets.

Provide guidance and training on AI ethics to technical and non-technical teams.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.

Engage with external stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and the public, on AI ethics issues.

Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends in AI ethics.

Advocate for responsible AI development and deployment across the organization.

Contribute to research and thought leadership in the field of AI ethics.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science (with an ethics focus), or a related field. 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or a related field.

Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts and their ethical implications.

Experience in developing ethical guidelines and conducting impact assessments.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
