Full Description
Our client, a cutting-edge research and development institute focused on artificial intelligence, is seeking a highly innovative and accomplished Senior AI Research Scientist to push the boundaries of machine learning theory and practice.
This role will be primarily remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, but requires deep engagement with our collaborative research environment.
Theideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in a relevant field, a strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences/journals, and a passion for exploring novel algorithms, deep learning architectures, and foundational AI concepts.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct original research in fundamental areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning, including but not limited to deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and generative models.
Develop and implement novel algorithms and methodologies to address challenging AI problems.
Design and execute rigorous experiments to validate research hypotheses and measure performance.
Publish research findings in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL) and journals.
Collaborate with other research scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate research into practical applications and prototypes.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements and research trends in the AI/ML field through literature review and conference participation.
Mentor junior researchers and interns, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative research culture.
Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patents and technical disclosures.
Present research findings internally and externally at workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Evaluate and explore new AI technologies and tools to enhance research capabilities.
Contribute to the design and architecture of AI systems and platforms.
Secure research funding through grant proposals where applicable.
Ensure research adheres to ethical AI principles and responsible innovation practices.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the AI research roadmap. Develop benchmarks and evaluation metrics for AI models and systems.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related quantitative field.
A minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral research experience in AI/ML, preferably in an industry research lab or academic setting.
A strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences and journals is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more core areas of AI/ML, such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex research concepts clearly.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.
Experience mentoring junior researchers is a significant advantage.
