About Our Client

Our client is a leading Canadian technology company that powers one of the country’s largest digital marketplaces — helping consumers connect with products and services while supporting businesses with analytics, automation, and fintech solutions.

As part of a global technology group with a strong focus on AI and data-driven innovation, our client is transforming how people buy, sell, and finance everyday products through smart, scalable digital platforms.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Data Scientist to join a high-impact team developing real-world machine learning and AI solutions that influence millions of users.

You’ll work on end-to-end ML model design, training, deployment, and optimization — from recommendation and personalization systems to pricing, search, and predictive analytics.

This is an opportunity to join a company that blends the stability of an established industry leader with the agility of a modern tech startup.

What You’ll Do

• Design, train, and deploy ML and Generative AI models that power personalization, pricing, and optimization features.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate goals into measurable, data-driven outcomes.

• Work with large, complex datasets to extract insights and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Build scalable data pipelines and ML infrastructure using AWS, Docker, and Airflow/Jenkins.

• Monitor and improve model performance, contributing to best practices in MLOps.

• Explore the integration of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance automation and user experiences.

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI development, including production deployment.

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS, Docker, and modern ML workflows.

• Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and model versioning.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, or tools such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or OpenAI APIs.

Bonus:

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or large-scale consumer platforms.

• Background in pricing, recommendation systems, or fintech analytics.

• Contributions to open-source or AI/ML research communities.

Why Apply

• Competitive salary and benefits from day one.

• Wellness and gym discounts plus virtual fitness programs.

• A collaborative, learning-driven environment that encourages innovation.
