Community Engagement Manager | 1-Year Contract

As a Community Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting programs and initiatives that foster interest in data science and artificial intelligence within the public sector.

This role focuses on community engagement, event coordination, and stakeholder collaboration to drive participation and awareness of AI-related initiatives.

While technical expertise in AI is not required, aninterest in generative AI trends and tools will be valuable in supporting relevant activities and discussions.

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Assist in community-building efforts to engage public sector professionals in data science and AI initiatives.

• Support relationship-building with government agencies, industry experts, and academic partners to explore collaboration opportunities.

• Help coordinate and engage with speakers and stakeholders for events such as meet-ups and workshops.

• Facilitate communications and outreach to encourage participation in AI-related programs.

Program Support & Event Coordination

• Assist in planning and running community events, competitions, and workshops to enhance awareness of AI and data science.

• Handle logistics such asparticipant onboarding, scheduling, and event coordination.

• Support program execution, including liaising with collaborators, helping organize judging panels, and coordinating mentorship programs.

Content & Communication

• Assist in outreach efforts (e.g., social media updates, direct engagement) to drive awareness of AI initiatives.

• Help maintain program materials and communications to align with overall objectives.

• Support the management of community channels, such as Microsoft Teams and Telegram, including sharing relevant resources (articles, tutorials) and fostering engagement.

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience in community engagement, program coordination, event planning, or a related role.

• Prior experience in AI, technology, or innovation-related projects is a plus but not required.

• Keen interest in generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) and willingness to stay updated on emerging tools.
