AI/ML Intern

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science and Engineering or Equivalent degree
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and agile methodologies
• Good Understanding of Data Engineering, Business Intelligence and SQL
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• 2+ years of experience or equivalent designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performing applications in Python or R

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will focus on developing cutting-edge AI solutions, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI
• As an AI / ML Intern, you will be evaluating, restructuring, and improving Copart’s products
• You'll work alongside experienced professionals to create and implement AI-driven features that enhance our products and services
• Develop and maintain software applications with a focus on AI, LLM, and generative AI integration
• Assist in the implementation of machine learning models and AI algorithms within our software ecosystem
• Work closely with data engineers and utilize data technologies, including SQL, ETL/ELT, Realtime data stream and data warehousing to implement or improve data, applications, and statistical models
• Contribute to the design and development of AI-powered features using LLMs and generative AI techniques
• Participate in data preparation, preprocessing, and feature engineering tasks for AI models
• Help in fine-tuning, and optimizing LLMs for specific applications
• Assist in developing and implementing prompt engineering strategies for LLMs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve AI model performance and integration
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, particularly in LLM and generative AI technologies
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and deployment of AI-enhanced software applications
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in software development

Copart is looking for a talented and enthusiastic AI/ ML Intern to join our innovative AI team.
