Applied Science (Data Scientist - Gen AI)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning and/or AI technologies with demonstrated success in delivering end-to-end solutions

• Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, statistical modeling, machine learning, systems thinking, and optimization in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and SQL

• Hands-on experience developing models using a broad range of methods (machine learning, GenAI, neural networks, deep learning frameworks), using scientific processes and applying custom algorithms to solve business problems

• Experience with cloud platforms and data analytics tools, including but not limited to Power BI, Spark Notebooks, PySpark, Azure Synapse, Microsoft OpenAI, Copilot, and Azure Data Factory

• Experience with data governance frameworks and security principles, including compliance with regulatory requirements

• Demonstrated understanding of generative AI solution concepts, such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and agentic workflows

• Excellence in business communication and presentation skills

• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement through data

• Proficient with standard office tools; Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• A collegial team player possessing intellectual curiosity and sound judgment

Position: Applied Science

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 days remote work)
