About the Opportunity

Foundermatcha is helping a new media startup, led by a well-connected UK founder, find a Lead Software Engineer to join as an early team member or technical co-founder.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a platform with a novel idea, focused on adaptive storytelling by tracking consumer attention during movies/multimedia, and changing elements of the story on the fly.

The founder is a successful director and film producer with a strong network in the film ecosystem.

The startup is in the early concept and prototyping stage, aiming to reimagine we watch movies and how the stories that are told change through time.

The company is pre-seed and currently bootstrapped. Compensation is negotiable but offers a significant ownership stake and the opportunity to shape the product, team, and platform direction from the ground up. Strong candidates should have experience building GenAI in fast-paced environments.

What We Look For

• Product Builder: Strong full-stack development skills; experience building social or marketplace platforms is a plus

• Independent Thinker: Comfortable in early-stage environments with ambiguity and autonomy

• Scalable Mindset: Able to think from MVP to scale, both from a tech and user experience perspective

• Preferred: Experience scaling B2C or social networking applications

• Bonus: Experience with video, audio, or messaging APIs
