Responsibilities

GabbVR is building the Duolingo of the future—a virtual reality language learning platform powered by neuroscience and adaptive AI. We’re already live in 53 schools, with $455K in ARR and 700+ more on our waitlist. Our product helps students—especially English Language Learners—speak confidently by doubling fluency gains using immersive, brain-based learning.

🚀 About the Role

You’ll lead the development of adaptive AI systems that power real-time speech feedback, engagement detection, and curriculum personalization. Your work will form the technical foundation of a product that could serve millions globally—and you’ll be working side-by-side with a neuroscientist founder and high-performing team to get us there.

This starts as a contract role but could grow into a cofounder-level position with equity and long-term leadership opportunity.

🔍 What You’ll Do

Build and fine-tune models for speech recognition, fluency scoring, and NLP-based feedback

Develop transformer-based and reinforcement learning systems for real-time content personalization

Collaborate with neuroscientists and cognitive researchers to integrate behavioral and biosignal feedback (e.g., gaze, latency, affect)

Optimize models for low-latency VR deployment on devices like Meta Quest

Contribute to Gabb’s core IP in neuroadaptive learning AI

🧰 You Might Be a Fit If You Have:

3–6+ years of ML experience (NLP, RL, or cognitive personalization preferred)
