Our client is a very well-known retail chain in Hong Kong and to accelerate growth and strengthen competitiveness, they are hiring a senior technology leader to modernize their platforms and embed AI across customer, store, and back-office operations

About the Role

Reporting directly to the direction and leading small team, this role owns the application and digital platform roadmap while driving practical AI adoption end-to-end from use-case design to roll out and benefits tracking) You will lead technology partners and vendors to deliver cloud-first solutions, data-driven experiences, and intelligent automation that improves customer engagement, staff productivity, and operational resilience.

Work with internal stakeholders, define and execute the application strategy, covering selection, implementation, enhancement, and integration across retail systems.

Identify, prioritize, and deliver AI use cases such as customer-service agents, personalization, and decision-support tools, with clear KPIs and governance.

Strengthen analytics and reporting capabilities, enabling better commercial decisions through improved data quality, models, and self-serve insights.

Lastly, improve service operations by introducing automation and predictive monitoring (AIOps) to reduce incidents, accelerate root-cause analysis, and support stable omn-ichannel operations.

The successful applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience

• 7+ years across multiple technology domains, including application management and delivery leadership

• Strong understanding of retail application ecosystems and how systems connect across stores, e-commerce, inventory, and customer platforms

• Solid software delivery background, with the ability to manage scope, quality, vendors, and release cycles

• Strong knowledge of BI/reporting and an ability to translate business questions into measurable data products

• Experience supporting end users (e.g., store and office teams), with a service mind set and strong stakeholder management

• Excellent organization and project leadership skills, able to run multiple initiatives in parallel and deliver outcomes

• Strong communication and people leadership skills; able to influence across business functions and partners

• Good command in Chinese and English
