Job Scope

As an AI Advancement Development coop engineer, you are responsible for developing advanced machine learning and generative AI technology to enhance our company's opportunities in both internal productivity and new product features.

You are detail oriented in developing and deploying key infrastructure and training for the use of generative technologies inside the company.

Responsibilities for this position include developing key infrastructure including functions that link with generative AI tools, learned compression technology and models, training and central generative AI tools for the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python functions to consolidate internal data sources

• Use OpenAI, Anthropic and Openrouter API to link internal models

• Use open source AI libraries to enhance internal productivity

• Develop infrastructure to test and train state of the art learned compression models

• Develop internal training presentation on tool and model usage

• Work with senior engineers to understand their core needs and implement tools to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Second year or higher BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

• Experience with Python a must

• Experience using the Linux development environment

• Hands-on experience using OpenAI API and other AI tools including advanced open source AI models

• Demonstration of initiative in the implementation of generative AI tools

• Development of presentations that teach others interesting topics

• An aptitude for working in uncertainty, pathfinding and exploring a new space

• an understanding of neural network model testing and training

• An understanding of generative AI models, their strengths and weaknesses

• An understanding of retrieval augmentation, embeddings, and vector databases

• An understanding of front-end and back-end web interface tool

• Familiarity and experience with python and git

Highly Desirable Skills

• Experience integrating external data sources with generative AI models

• Experience with retrieval augmentation with LLM

• Familiar with generative AI IDE and infrastructure such as Cursor

• Deep understanding of the structure of generative AI models
