Role Description
We're seeking an AI Communications Specialist to join our Client team to develop and execute strategic communications initiatives that bridge the gap between AI technology and human adoption.
This role is crucial in helping our Client navigate organizational change and AI implementations.
The work will focus on developing core capabilities and strategies for both internal and external communications as it relates to one of our Client's AI programs.
This is a contract role for an Independent Contractor.
The Collective AI works with Independent Contractors to jointly deliver value to our clients under our integrated programs and methodologies.
The Collective AI is based in Calgary Alberta, however we will consider full-time remote opportunities for the right team members.
In Calgary our work is hybrid and flexible; while working in the office is encouraged and at times needed, there is no set schedule for office days.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies for enterprise-wide AI adoption initiatives
• Develop compelling narratives that translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Lead change management communications for client organizations undergoing AI transformation
• Create and maintain strategic communication frameworks that support our proprietary AI adoption methodologies
• Collaborate with leadership teams to craft messaging that drives employee engagement and adoption
• Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement
• Establish and reinforce a rhythm to remove communication "noise" and encourage adoption of AI solutions
Key Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in strategic communications, with at least 3 years focused on technology or digital transformation
• Outstanding communication and writing skills
• Proven track record of developing successful change management communication strategies
• Strong understanding of AI technology trends and their business implications
• Excellence in stakeholder management and executive-level communications
• Experience in creating measurement frameworks to track communication effectiveness
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates who have past experience working in management consulting or professional services firms
• Multi-lingual (french, etc.) is considered a plus
• Experience with AI implementation projects or digital transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices
• Change management certification (PROSCI, ADKAR, etc.)
