About the Role

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and maintain complex frontend interfaces using TypeScript and React

• Make product and design decisions, prototyping and shipping features end-to-end

• Handle state management, performance optimisations, caching strategies, and network requests for a smooth user experience

• Implement or create designs, focusing on polished interactions, loading/empty/error states, and keyboard shortcuts

• Collaborate with backend engineers to deliver full-stack features, including database migrations and API integration

• Contribute to establishing frontend standards, reusable components, and best practices

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of frontend engineering experience building production systems

• Deep proficiency in React and state management (useMemo, context, Zustand)

• Strong full-stack comfort, able to own features from backend to UI

• Product sense and design intuition, able to translate rough requirements into polished interactions

• High autonomy and low ego, able to ship, gather feedback, and iterate independently

• US work authorisation or O-1 visa eligibility; Bay Area-based or willing to relocate

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiplayer apps (Y.js, Automerge, CRDTs)
