Responsibilities:
Conduct advanced research in Natural Language Processing, focusing on areas such as machine translation, text generation, sentiment analysis, question answering, and summarization. Develop and implement state-of-the-art NLP models, including deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, RNNs, LSTMs).
Design and execute experiments to evaluate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and validate research hypotheses.
Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and techniques to advance the field of NLP.
Collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and product managers to translate research findings into practical AI solutions.
Stay current with the latest research publications, conferences, and trends in AI and NLP.
Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals and conferences.
Mentor junior researchers and interns, providing guidance and technical leadership.
Contribute to the development of research roadmaps and strategic planning for AI initiatives.
Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for research projects and developed models.
Engage in peer review for publications and internal research proposals.
Explore and evaluate new datasets, tools, and frameworks relevant to NLP research.
Ensure the ethical development and deployment of AI technologies, particularly concerning language-based applications.
Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patent applications where appropriate. Participate in research brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a specialization in Natural Language Processing. Minimum of 6 years of research experience in AI/NLP, with a strong publication record in leading conferences and journals (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML).
Deep expertise in NLP techniques, including text representation, sequence modeling, attention mechanisms, and large language models.
Proven experience in developing and implementing deep learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python.
Strong understanding of linguistics, machine learning, and statistical methods relevant to NLP.
Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation for NLP tasks.
Ability to conduct independent research, design experiments, and interpret results rigorously.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex research concepts.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative research environment.
Experience with cloud computing platforms for AI/ML workloads is a plus.
Familiarity with distributed training techniques for large models is advantageous.
