Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their innovative team in Umuahia, Abia, NG .

This role involves the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and AI-powered solutions that drive business value.

You will work on challenging projects, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems across various domains.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, data science, software engineering, and experience in deploying models into production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning systems and infrastructure.

Develop and implement machine learning models for tasks such as prediction, classification, anomaly detection, and recommendation.

Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into existing applications and workflows.

Deploy machine learning models into production environments, ensuring robustness, scalability, and performance.

Monitor and maintain deployed models, retraining and fine-tuning as needed.

Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research and technologies.

Optimize ML algorithms and code for performance and efficiency.

Develop and implement MLOps best practices for continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring of ML models. Contribute to the team's knowledge base and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role. Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Spark).

Proven experience in deploying machine learning models to production environments.

Solid understanding of MLOps principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience with big data technologies is a plus.

Strong software engineering fundamentals.
