AI Implementation Consultant

Calgary, AB

Full-time

Full Description

About 0260.ai

Most AI consultants are selling strategy.

We do that and work with clients on the solutions.

We look to solve problems and sometimes that means telling a client AI isn't the answer.

We work primarily with traditional businesses (e.g. manufacturing, professional services, construction) helping them figure out where AI can create real value and avoiding expensive distractions.

As a junior member of our consulting team, you'll work alongside senior consultants and business owners who have messy operational problems.

Maybe invoicing takes too long, customers aren’t getting answers fast enough or the data is too hard to find.

Your job is figuring out if AI would help and then make it work.

Sometimes you’ll be suggesting they fix their process first.

What you will do

You'll support client engagements from discovery through implementation.

That means participating in client meetings, understanding their operations, spotting where AI could help, researching and testing tools, building solutions and managing parts of the project.

Early on, you'll work closely with the founders on shared client projects—attending meetings, documenting requirements, prototyping solutions, and handling implementation tasks.

As you develop capability and client knowledge, you'll take on more independent responsibility within projects and eventually lead smaller client engagements on your own.

Projects typically run on quarterly review cycles.

We are growing rapidly. We started business 1.5 years ago and demand has outstripped our capacity.

While we cannot make promises about how many hours you will work, this should give you a sense of our trajectory.

What You Can Do

• You've solved business problems (in any domain) and can explain your thinking about why you chose your approach.

• You geek out on AI. You're the person who tries every new tool, has opinions on what's overhyped, experiments on weekends, and actually reads the release notes.

• You can have a conversation with a business owner about their operations and spot opportunities they don't see.

• You've used AI to solve something. It could be work, could be personal, could be academic, but you can show what you built and why it mattered.

• You're comfortable getting technical.

You can learn tools quickly, figure out which AI platforms solve the actual problem, write prompts, configure systems.

But you're not primarily a developer.

• You understand the basics of data architecture and can grasp why data quality and structure matter for AI implementations.

• You approach problems systematically and can manage your own parts of larger projects.

• You're client-focused and responsive—you follow through and communicate proactively.

• You have some exposure to traditional industries (professional services, manufacturing, trades, construction) or can demonstrate understanding of how these businesses operate.

• You communicate with business leaders in clear, plain language while maintaining professional credibility.

• You're based in Calgary and available for in-person client work.

If you're primarily a developer looking to add consulting work, this isn't the right role.

We have technical specialists.

This role is for someone who thinks about business problems first and uses AI as one tool among many to solve them.

If you're currently consulting elsewhere, we're open to that during the ramp-up period.

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• 1-3 years of consulting experience

• Demonstrated AI builds with measurable outcomes

• Evidence of self-directed learning in the space

How to Apply

Send us a resume, but skip the cover letter.

Instead, show us how you're using AI (video, audio, document – whatever works), but it should demonstrate:

• A problem you solved with AI: What was the actual problem (not the technical challenge)?

Why did you think AI could help?

What did you build?

What happened?

If it didn't work, what did you learn?

• An AI tool or development you're excited about right now and why a business should care: Pick something recent that interests you and explain what business problem it could solve.

Be specific: Which type of business, which workflow, what would actually improve?

We don't need something super-produced (time is of the essence) but something that gives us insight into your AI skill.

If this looks like you, we would love to meet you - and thank you for your interest.
