General Manager, AI & Innovation

Reporting directly to Executive Director, Corporate Development, the General Manager, AI & Innovation will lead the strategic development, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence initiatives across the organization.

This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation.

The successful candidate will oversee AI strategy, manage cross-functional innovation programs, and ensure ethical and responsible AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute organization-wide AI and innovation strategy in alignment with the Authority’s business goals

• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate AI into core operations of the Authority and lead cross-functional teams in piloting and scaling new solutions.

• Lead a team of professionals to drive innovation initiatives/programs, track global trends and benchmarks to guide quarterly innovation sprints.

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models and platforms (e.g., GenAI, predictive analytics, robotics) and monitor performance metrics and ROI of AI initiatives.

• Strengthen partnerships with startups, academia, and technology providers to accelerate innovation across the organization.

• Establish AI governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI deployment and mitigate risks associated with fast-evolving technologies.

• Drive programs to foster a culture of innovation and proactive mindset among staff, inspiring change and innovation throughout the organization.

• Develop strategies and initiatives to support partnership with GBA airports, promote integration of technology adoption and export of HKIA innovations to other airports.
