THIS ROLE IS FOR UAEN ONLY.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead a government-wide AI strategy, aligned with national digital and AI priorities.

• Translate strategic objectives into a clear AI roadmap covering platforms, products, data,and talent.

• Act as the principal advisor to executive leadership on AI opportunities, risks, and AI Platform, Product & Build Leadership.

• Oversee the design, build, and scaling of AI platforms and AI-enabled products, from concept to production.

• Ensure strong integration between AI, digital products, data platforms, and drive adoption of modern AI architectures including ML, Generative AI, and agent-based systems.

• Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks, including ethics, risk management, model oversight, and compliance.

• Ensure AI systems are secure, explainable, auditable, and aligned with regulatory and public-sector requirements.

• Lead responsible AI initiatives and ensure adherence to national and international AI standards.

• Embed AI across operational, policy, and service-delivery workflows to deliver measurable impact.

• Define success metrics and ensure AI initiatives deliver tangible efficiency, quality, and citizen value outcomes.

• Oversee prioritisation of AI use cases across departments and portfolios.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement

• Engage senior stakeholders across government entities to align AI initiatives and represent the organisation in strategic partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and innovation ecosystems.

• Build strong relationships with global AI leaders and advisory partners.

People & Capability Leadership

• Build and lead a high‑performing AI, product, and engineering organisation.

• Define talent strategy, capability development, and succession planning for AI roles.

• Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualifications Professional Experience

• 12+ years of experience in technology leadership roles spanning AI, digital products, and platform engineering.

• Proven hands‑on experience building and scaling AI systems and digital products in complex environments.

• Prior experience with global technology organisations (e.g. major cloud or AI platforms) is strongly preferred.

• Background in top‑tier management or technology consulting is highly desirable.

• Experience operating at executive level within large, regulated, or public‑sector environments is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
