Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H, providing thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem
  • Lead the ideation / conceptualization, overall strategy and oversight of multiple programs utilizing large language models for a variety of healthcare applications
  • Utilize expertise in NLP/LLM neural networks, training methods, addresses bias) knowledge and skills to assist ARPA-H shape future programs and manage the delivery of multiple disparate performer team
  • Analyze and interpret complex healthcare data using AI/ML methods
  • Ideate and establish initiatives to enhance diagnosis, risk assessment, and drug discovery
  • Utilize healthcare knowledge and machine learning methods to identify patterns and insights from vast datasets of medical records, genomics information, and wearable device data
  • Stay current with scientific advancements and actively track and analyze new research findings in this field
  • Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress
  • Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing expertise to the program's overall knowledge base
  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team and build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program

This role is ideal for a seasoned expert in natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and machine learning within the healthcare ecosystem.
