Postdoctoral Fellow Position in AI Accountability

Postdoctoral Fellow Position in AI Accountability

Two‑year postdoctoral position (potential for renewal) for the project "Community Responsive Algorithms for Social Accountability".

The project is led by researchers from the University of Houston Departments of Computer Science, Political Science, and the Law Center, and will be based in the Computational Biomedicine Lab, Department of Computer Science.

The role involves innovative research on fairness, explainability, robustness, privacy, security, and other aspects of AI accountability.

The candidate will help establish standards for evaluating the accountability of public‑policy algorithms and develop an Algorithm Accountability Benchmark (AAB) and related tools for scoring software used in the public policy sphere.
