About the Role: We are seeking an exceptional Network Protocol Developer with deep expertise in designing, implementing, and testing modern communication protocols at scale.

This role is for a hands-on engineer who thrives in low-latency, high-throughput, and high-reliability environments, and who can take protocols from whiteboard to production with precision.

You will work across network stacks, binary formats, transport optimizations, protocol parsing/serialization, and real-time telemetry frameworks.

You will also collaborate with AI and blockchain teams to integrate next-generation protocol capabilities used in distributed inference, cross-chain messaging, and protocol conversion layers.

This position offers flexibility (remote/hybrid) with occasional travel for architecture workshops, on-site benchmarking, and partner integration sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Protocol Design & Development

• Design, implement, and optimize network protocols (L3–L7) with a focus on performance, resilience, and observability.

• Develop binary and structured data serialization layers (CBOR, Protobuf, custom binary frames, etc.).

• Implement transport optimizations across TCP, UDP, QUIC, gRPC, MQTT, SIP, DNS, and proprietary protocols.

• Engineer protocol conversion layers and multiplexing systems for high-volume, low-latency pipelines.

• Testing & Validation

• Build robust test harnesses, fuzzers, load generators, and simulation frameworks for protocol validation at scale.

• Develop conformance tests, negative tests, and RFC-aligned behavioral checks.

• Conduct large-scale performance benchmarking (p95/p99 latency, throughput, jitter, CPU/memory footprint).

• Create automated CI/CD pipelines for protocol feature validation.

• Contribute to distributed, multi-tenant systems running in cloud, hybrid, and edge environments.

• Build observability layers—Prometheus metrics, tracing, wire-byte analytics, and protocol telemetry.

• Optimize implementations for containerized and high-density GPU/AI compute environments.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

• Work with AI teams to integrate protocols for model scheduling, inference pipelines, and distributed GPU pooling.

• Work with blockchain teams to support cross-chain messaging, PoS/BFT consensus interactions, and secure data transport.

• Partner with product and architecture teams to define next-generation communication and interoperability frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on coding experience in C/C++, Go, or Rust (multiple preferred).

• Deep knowledge of networking internals: sockets, congestion control, protocol parsing, state machines, etc.
