Business Development Specialist with AI and marketing experience

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will be located in /near Melbourne FL but they are open to limited OR remote as long as person is on East Coast and in an area where enough potential clients (or prior book of business/network of contacts) are concentrated…..i.e
- DC, VA, MA… and you must be willing to travel to Melbourne for initial training /product familiarization and at least once a month for in-person meetings with team
- The leadership, admin and engineering teams are PhD heavy—they tend to like people to have advanced degrees
- At 30-days, should have a solid understanding of product offerings and be able to create a targeted list of prospects
- By 60-days, should have at least a couple of client visits with demos, by 6-months, should have a solid pipeline of prospects moving through process—should be close to closing at least 1 sell
- At one year, should have decent success and be making commissions
- By end of year two, should have generated enough revenue to fund and add support or sales staff under them
- Ex Military – not required but the discipline, work ethic and mission driven characteristics typically a huge plus
- Also, since many of clients are DoD or military, it’s a point-of-commonality to help get in the door
- Absolutely must have ability to obtain a clearance; if you have a clearance that would be a very strong preference
- Technical degree or at least a very strong technical aptitude as product is complex (will have engineer available for demos)
- Additionally, at least some level of formal sales training /continuing education would be plus
- Experience in identifying prospects, developing business relationships and closing the sale
- Ability to develop, manage and deliver a sales pipeline
- Experience selling to early adopters in any of target markets (regulated industries, defense)
- Experience in identifying pain points and history of tying product features/benefits as solutions
- Start up experience or experience developing a market for a new software tool or product
- Experience selling subscription/ or product service for software products/tools

Business Development Professional with AI and marketing experience – Salaried position
GeoLogics is working with an excellent company that has been in business for 30+ years, primarily doing work through DARPA, and winning SIBRs bids.
The impetus for this hire is that they have a robust AI product that they’re ready to take to market.
Unlike many of the AI companies springing up, this company hasbeen doing ontological AI work for the last 30 years and their engineers have applied that knowledge base in building their product offerings.
It’s a VERY stable company with extremely low turnover and an average length of employment over 12 years.
Right now, the product is ready for prime time.
The needs include someone to actively go out and sell our AI product.
General notes:
• Preferred salary range 130-150k with a target of doubling base with commissions by year 2.

This is a very unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new AI product from within an established company. All the excitement of a start up without the uncertainty of next round funding.
• The CEO has a strong network of contacts tied to his military service and network, but he said that he’s on year 4 of his departure and those contacts are starting to get ‘long in the tooth’ so he’s anxious to get someone started who can convert those contacts to clients.
• This person will be the driving force in identifying business opportunities with early adopters of technology and building relationships needed to close the sale.
• They have had some success in the defense sector and believe that’s a strong market for their products, but they’d really like whoever comes on board to be able to understand what their tool can do and make their own determination of what markets to target.
• There is a lot of opportunity in creating new inroads into other regulated industries (healthcare, transportation, certain manufacturing) as well as chance to capitalize and expand sales within the existing customer base.
