About The Role

Myticas Consulting is supporting a leading insurance-sector organization in Toronto in a major identity platform transformation.

As a Senior Azure IAM Developer (Entra External),you will lead the migration of their IAM platform from Salesforce IAM to Azure Entra External ID, designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud identity solutions.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role. You will work closely with business, security, and IT stakeholders to define migration strategy, build and integrate Entra External ID with enterprise applications and third-party services, and ensure robust identity governance, MFA, and conditional access across the environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of the IAM platform from Salesforce IAM to Azure Entra External ID

• Design and implement secure, scalable IAM architectures on Azure

• Integrate Azure Entra External ID with applications, systems, and third-party services

• Implement best practices for identity governance, MFA, conditional access, and access control

• Collaborate with business, security, and IT teams to refine requirements and report on progress

• Troubleshoot complex IAM and integration issues throughout the migration

• Create and maintain technical documentation for architectures, configurations, and processes

Requirements

• Based in Canada with the ability to work on-site in Toronto, Ontario as required

• 8+ years of professional software development or cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years focused on IAM and Azure-based solutions

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Entra External ID and related Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Conditional Access, Identity Governance)

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce IAM, including integrating Salesforce with external identity providers in production environments

• Proven experience leading or executing end-to-end IAM platform migrations using OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, and OpenID Connect

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing IAM solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and cloud security best practices

• Experience integrating Azure Entra External ID with a wide range of enterprise applications, systems, and third-party services

• Background as an Azure-focused developer or IAM engineer in insurance or broader financial services environments

• Demonstrated experience communicating with business and security stakeholders and managing technical project timelines

• Familiarity with Canadian enterprise environments through prior work and/or education in Canada
