Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, related field or 5+ years of experience in AI development, AI engineering, and AI architecture
  • Federal background/experience, preferably working with cybersecurity-related datasets
  • Deep understanding of AI principles, architectures, technologies, and governing security policies
  • Must also be able to incorporate government security considerations in the design and development of AI-based solutions
  • Ability to produce architecture and designs that implement scalability, performance, and cost-effective solutions

Responsibilities

  • This role serves as the program’s AI Subject Matter Expert (SME)—responsible for setting the strategic vision, shaping policy, and guiding the technical and functional direction of all AI initiatives
  • This leader will partner across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to identify mission challenges, develop appropriate AI use cases, and ensure the ethical, secure, and effective use of AI technologies
  • Setting AI Strategy: Defining program-wide AI strategy, architectures, standards, and roadmaps; identifying high‑value AI use cases that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and lower risk
  • Designing AI Solutions: Architecting and developing AI solutions using ML, NLP, LLMs, computer vision, and cloud-based AI services
  • Creating AI Policy: Developing and communicating clear AI policies aligned with federal and commercial guidance, ensuring ethical and secure AI use
  • Developing Teams: Identifying required skillsets, supporting hiring, mentoring team members, and upskilling program staff on AI concepts and best practices
  • Evaluating AI Capabilities: Assessing AI technologies, analyzing business problems, guiding R&D, and providing data-driven recommendations that shape program direction

Must Haves:
