About Your Company

King Deux is expanding its venture capital team, backed by two new funds totaling $300+ million and a partnership with a global private equity firm.

While our initial focus is on the Western AI sector, we are now seeking a Biotech Specialist to strengthen our team.

The successful candidate will have a robust academic background in a relevant field and will be responsible for working with a Principal on deal sourcing, due diligence, IC memo preparation, and portfolio management.

About your role

• Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Proactively source and identify new investment opportunities through academic networks, scientific conferences, and industry relationships.

• Deep Due Diligence: Lead the technical and scientific due diligence on potential investments. This includes critically assessing target mechanisms of action, preclinical/clinical data, intellectual property landscapes, and competitive positioning.

• Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and analyze financial models, develop investment theses, and prepare detailed investment memoranda for presentation to the Investment Committee.

• Market & Sector Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on specific therapeutic areas, technology platforms, and market trends to inform the firm's investment strategy.

• Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio company management teams, providing strategic support on scientific, operational, and business development initiatives.

• Network Development: Build and maintain a strong network with key opinion leaders, academic researchers, and industry executives.

What you will need to succeed

• You have 4-8 years of experience in a rigorous analytical environment.

Relevant backgrounds include:

• Technology-Focused Venture Capital or Private Equity

• Investment Banking or Equity Research (covering Industrial, Tech, or Agri sectors)

• You possess a strong understanding of core AI/ML concepts and a genuine passion for how software transforms physical industries.

• You are fluent in analyzing business models, unit economics, and building financial models in Excel.

• You have a demonstrable interest inor experience withsectors such as manufacturing, energy, logistics, agriculture, or robotics.

• You are a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, able to articulate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree in a technical or quantitative field is a strong plus.
